This Hirosawaji is a historic Tendai sect temple said to have been founded in the Nara period. It is said to have been founded by Dengyo Daishi Saicho and has long gathered the faith of people. Its principal image is Shaka Nyorai, whose serene expression soothes the hearts of visitors. The precincts are rich in greenery and enveloped in a tranquil atmosphere. In particular, the Yakushi Nyorai statue enshrined in the main hall is deeply worshipped as a deity for recovery from illness. It is said to grant wishes such as family safety, warding off evil and good luck, and sound health, and many people still visit to offer prayers. Prayers unchanged since ancient times still live on in this land.
