Sayamayama Fudōji is a head temple of the Tendai sect nestled in the Sayama Hills of Tokorozawa, Saitama. Opened in 1975 under the auspices of Kaneiji Temple, the grounds incorporate historic structures relocated from various sites by Tsutsumi Yoshiaki. Three buildings from the Tokugawa Hidetada mausoleum at Zojoji—the Chokugakumon, Chojomon, and Onarimon gates—are preserved as Important Cultural Properties. The principal image is Fudo Myo-o, and goma fire rituals are held weekly. The temple is also known as the site where the Saitama Seibu Lions baseball team performs victory prayers before each season.
