Byakko

Myōhonji is an ancient temple of the Nichiren school located in Bancho, Okayama City. It is said to have been established in the early Edo period and became the center of local faith alongside the development of the castle town of Okayama. Cherishing the teachings of the Lotus Sutra, it has been beloved as a source of spiritual support for local people. In particular, many families visit to pray for the healthy growth and academic achievement of their children, and the temple is enveloped in a warm atmosphere.
