History

Kōdōzan, which I visited, is a charming temple nestled on a quiet hill in Kanagawa-ku, Yokohama. This place has long been a spiritual refuge for the local people. The precincts, enveloped in silence, calm the hearts of visitors. The principal image of Buddha is said to be compassionate and to listen to people's wishes. I also cleanse my mind for a while in this quiet space. It is a charming temple where one can spend peaceful time.
