This shrine, situated in a scenic area of Kamakura, is known as a deity of matchmaking. It was founded by the will of Emperor Meiji to enshrine Prince Takanaga, a son of Emperor Go-Daigo, and his loyal retainer, Toshiki Hino. From the precincts, one can overlook the townscape of Kamakura and the sea, enjoying a wonderful view. Its benefits for matchmaking are particularly strong, and many people visit seeking good relationships.
