What I shall introduce is Dōchizōson in Gokurakuji, the ancient capital of Kamakura. Dōchizōson, as the name suggests, is a Jizo statue that guides people to the right path. This hall has long been a place visited by travelers and lost souls seeking the benefit of guidance. Upon visiting here, one feels a strange sense of calm, as if the path to take becomes clear. It is also believed to grant fulfillment of all wishes and family safety, and is thought to grant various wishes of people. Since ancient times, it has quietly stood as a guide in people's lives.
