Zozenji is a Soto Zen Buddhist temple in Shiinoo, Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City. It was founded in 681 (the 10th year of Emperor Tenmu) by Dosho, the patriarch of the Hosso school, as a Shingon temple called Jihi-ji. The temple later transitioned to the Soto sect and is now counted as the 16th site on the Suruga Thirty-Three Kannon Pilgrimage and the 2nd on the Suruga Seven Kannon circuit.
