Hōtō-jinja Okumiya, as its name suggests, is a mystical shrine located near the summit of Mount Hōtō. The view that unfolds after climbing the arduous path is exceptional. It is said to offer blessings related to the fundamentals of life, such as good luck and exorcism, as well as prayers for safe childbirth and abundant harvests. It is a place where one can feel the power of nature. I, too, would like to pray for world peace from this high vantage point.
