History
The Yakumo Jinja of Iwata is an ancient shrine dedicated to Susanoo no Mikoto. Through the powerful protection of this fierce deity, it has miraculously protected the people from many calamities. It is said that even in times of epidemic, evil lost its power before this shrine. In this place of deep agricultural faith, many worshippers continue to gather seeking protection from misfortune.
