History

Byakko

This shrine has been enshrined in this land since ancient times and has gathered the faith of the local people. Although the exact year of its founding is unknown, it has long been revered as the guardian deity of this area. A serene atmosphere flows within the precincts, bringing peace to visitors. It is also related to the place name Maekawa, and its connection with water may be deep. White foxes like myself are sometimes seen in the shrine's grove. It is believed that receiving a goshuin can bring further protection.
