Yahiko Jinja is an ancient shrine known as the deity of bows and arrows. It enshrines Yahiko-no-kami, a martial deity, and has long been believed to bestow blessings for the mastery of martial arts and success in contests. During the Sengoku period, the Sanada clan is said to have visited to pray for victory in battle, and it was particularly revered by warriors seeking to improve their archery and shooting skills. Today it remains beloved as a shrine visited by those involved in archery and by people striving toward their goals. It is a dependable deity that grants the power to hit one's mark.
