This Koshoji is a historic Shingon Buddhist temple said to have been founded in the Kamakura period. It is said to have been founded by Dengyo Daishi Saicho and has long gathered the faith of people. Its principal image is Kobo Daishi Kukai, whose powerful figure attracts the hearts of visitors. The precincts are rich in greenery and enveloped in a tranquil atmosphere. In particular, the Fudo Myoo statue enshrined in the main hall is deeply worshipped as a deity for warding off evil. It is said to grant wishes such as family safety, warding off evil and good luck, and sound health, and many people still visit to offer prayers. Prayers unchanged since ancient times still live on in this land.
