History
Shiwa Inari Jinja in Shiwa-cho is a shrine filled with the blessings of the Inari deity, bringing abundant harvests. It has long been deeply venerated by local people as the Inari deity that protects agriculture in this region and brings abundant harvests of the five grains. The place name "Shiwa" carries deep meaning, expressing the abundance of this land and the aspirations of its people. White foxes, the divine messengers of the Inari deity, race through the grounds and deliver the wishes of worshippers to the deity. The benefits of prosperity in business are particularly strong, and many business owners visit to pray for success.
