History
Hachiman Jinja is enshrined in various locations throughout Okayama City. It enshrines Emperor Ojin and has been revered since ancient times as a deity of martial valor and victory in contests. While each Hachiman Jinja in different areas has its own history, all have served as a source of support for the local people's hearts. During festival seasons, the cheerful voices of children echo through the shrine grounds, and it also plays a central role in the community.
