History

This shrine is located near the coast of Koshigoe in Kamakura and has deep connections with the sea. The enshrined deities are Toyotamahiko-no-Mikoto and Toyotamahime-no-Mikoto, who are worshipped as gods of safety at sea and abundant catch. From the precincts, one can gaze at the sea and worship while feeling the sea breeze. It has been worshipped by fishermen and sailors since ancient times. Recently, it has also gained attention as a deity of matchmaking.
