History
Hayauma Jinja is an ancient shrine that watches over the seas of Kesennuma and has been revered as the guardian deity of maritime safety and fishing. It has a long history of founding and has gathered the deep faith of fishermen and sailors in this region. Located with a view of the beautiful coastline of the Karakuwa Peninsula, it is revered by many as the deity of the sea.
