Shuuinji

Shuuinji, standing in Benten, Chuo, continues to inherit and protect the Buddha-dharma lineage. Since ancient times, preserving the lamp of law has been its mission. Through centuries I have watched, monks have trained here and become inheritors of the dharma lamp themselves. This chain of generation-to-generation transmission never breaks; the light from primordial times pours down brightly even in this age. To become an inheritor of that light is the temple's greatest fruit.
