The shrine is most famous for its beautiful torii gate standing in Lake Biwa. Like the Itsukushima Shrine, this gate gracefully stands upon the water and is known as the "Itsukushima of Omi," captivating many visitors. Especially when illuminated by sunrise or sunset, the torii gate appears divine, and many people photograph it.
