History
Deep in the mountains of Shuuji, Bairin-in stands serene and waiting. The plum blossoms that bloom in the frozen air of winter are my very symbol. It is through harsh conditions that the heart is forged and the spirit refined. The tradition of ascetics bathing in water on winter mornings to strengthen their bodies is still honored here. Those who receive the goshuin shall gain the courage to overcome adversity and the purity of the plum blossom. Even after spring comes and the petals fall, the clear spirit they represent remains eternally reflected in one's heart.
