History

Byakko

Kainan Jinja, as the guardian deity of the sea, has long gathered the faith of the fishermen in this area. Standing on the cliffs of Jōgashima, watching over the rough waves, its appearance is powerful and mystical. It is said to have benefits for maritime safety and prayers for an abundant catch, and many people visit to quietly offer their prayers. I too, amidst this magnificent scenery, wish for the blessings of the sea for the people.
