Tsurubayashi Temple, standing in Kakogawa, is an ancient temple of the Tendai school that boasts a history of 1400 years. It is said to have been founded by Prince Shotoku and is also called the "Harima Horyu-ji." It possesses many cultural properties, including the National Treasure Taishi Hall. Throughout its long history, it has flourished as a center of learning and culture, producing many monks and scholars. The beautiful temple grounds are adorned with seasonal flowers, and particularly during cherry blossom season, the temple is bustling with many visitors. It continues to be cherished as a place of peace of mind and learning.
