This Gomyo-ji has been protecting the land of Yokohama since ancient times as a Kannon sacred site. Its founding dates back to the Heian period, with a history spanning over a thousand years. The principal image, Eleven-faced Kannon Bodhisattva, is believed to have the power to hear people's prayers, ward off calamities, and lead them to good fortune. Within the temple grounds, there is a tranquil garden that heals the hearts of visitors. Especially during cherry blossom season, it offers a magnificent view and is a popular spot visited by many. It is also said to have benefits for academic success, making it popular among students preparing for exams.
