History

Byakko

Eirin-ji stands enshrined deep within the mountains of Futamata in Tenryu. For more than a thousand years, the prayers of villagers for bountiful harvests have gathered at this temple. Under my protection in these mountain villages, the blessings of each season never cease, and the peace of the settlement is assured. Those who stand before the ancient shrine hall surrounded by towering cryptomeria trees and offer their pure prayers shall surely have their wishes heard in heaven. Even a single goshuin carries within it the power of that prayer, bringing good fortune throughout the year.
