History
Kitano Tenjinsha, enshrined in Tokorozawa, is a shrine that venerates Sugawara no Michizane, known as the god of learning. Although the year of its founding is unknown, many students and scholars have visited to worship since ancient times. The precincts are refreshing and bestow wisdom and inspiration upon visitors. White foxes like myself are sometimes attracted to the aura of learning that this shrine possesses. The goshuin of Kitano Tenjinsha is popular for responding to people's wishes, such as academic success, passing exams, and improvement in performing arts.
