History
Komyoji is an ancient temple deeply rooted in the Saku region, gathering the faith of local people. In the natural abundance of Shinshu with a view of Mount Asama, it has been cherished as a quiet place of prayer. The temple name "Komyo" expresses the light of the Buddha's wisdom and carries the deep meaning of illuminating the darkness of delusion. Throughout its long history, it has been a source of comfort for the hearts of local people and has answered various wishes and prayers. It is a warm temple where one can pray quietly while feeling the changing seasons of Shinshu.
