Heguri Tenjinja Shrine, located in Hirakuri-naka, Minamiboso City, Chiba Prefecture, enshrines Sugawara no Michizane as its principal deity, revered as the guardian of scholarship and the arts. The shrine also worships Konohanasakuya-hime, Amaterasu Ōmikami, and Takeminakata-no-Kami. Formerly ranked as a Gōsha (village shrine). Students and scholars have long visited to pray for academic success and the cultivation of their talents. This historically significant shrine has served as a center of faith in the Awa region for generations.
