Yamajzumi Jinja

An ancient mountain shrine enshrined in Mizuguwa, Tenryu, resting quietly among the mountains. Hunters and woodcutters held deep faith and came to pray for the mountain's blessings and safety. Cradled in the depths of the mountains, it has watched over people's lives across centuries. Receiving the prayers of those traveling the steep mountain paths, the protection of the mountain deity continues unabated. It is a sacred place infused with respect for deep nature.
