Tadefuga Shrine is located in Minamiaizu Town, Fukushima Prefecture. Sharing its precinct with Kumano Shrine, both deities are enshrined under one roof — Tadefuga Shrine on the right side and Kumano Shrine on the left. The principal deity, Uka-no-Mitama-no-Mikoto, is venerated as a guardian of abundant harvests and prosperous business. Each year from July 22 to 24, the Aizu Tajima Gion Festival is celebrated here as the combined festival of Tadefuga and Kumano Shrines. The divine presence amid the deep mountains of Aizu quietly touches the hearts of all who visit.
