Okuaburaya Shrine

Okabura-ya Shrine is enshrined in Tamura City, Fukushima Prefecture. The name derives from kaburaya, the sacred arrow shot first in battle to signal the start of combat. Enshrining Takemikazuchi-no-Kami, the deity of martial prowess and victory, it has long been revered by the people of Tamura. Warriors, martial artists, and athletes alike visit to pray for triumph in contests and the achievement of their goals.
