History

Byakko

Matsuo Kannon-ji, sitting quietly on Matsuo-yama in Kusube-cho, Ise, is a place where the deep compassion of Kannon Bodhisattva dwells. When I visited, within its halls, many people offered prayers seeking salvation from suffering. Held in the depths of mountains, its power is quiet yet certain. Transcending time, its light of compassion remains undiminished, continuing to gently illuminate the hearts of pilgrims.
