Shakuson-ji, built in Okubo in Komoro, is an ancient temple that has carefully preserved the teachings of Buddha. True to its name Shakuson (Shakyamuni Buddha), this is a formal temple that enshrines Shakyamuni Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, as its principal image. The land of Komoro has long flourished as a castle town rich in culture since ancient times, attracting many scholars and artists. Enveloped in such an intellectually refined atmosphere, this temple allows visitors to encounter the teachings of Buddha in peaceful quiet. 駐車場から観音堂まで約20分の山道で、高低差150m・石段約400段を登ります。断崖に張り付くように建つ観音堂は岩をくり抜いた通路の先にあります。
