History
Kanai Jinja is a shrine enshrined in Ise's Tsuyano district, and from its very name, it is believed to bring blessings of fortune and prosperous business. Matsusaka has a history of flourishing as a merchant town, and this shrine too has been a spiritual support for those engaged in commerce. Continuing to be loved by local people, it attracts many visitors—particularly merchants and those seeking improved fortune. The shrine grounds maintain a calm atmosphere, and with sincere prayer, one receives the protection of the kami. Known locally as "Kanai-san," the shrine holds many annual observances.
