Through storms and calm alike, their prayers remain steadfast, spoken in whispered urgency and grateful thanksgiving. The kami answers with saving grace, guiding boats safely home when all seems lost. I witness these dramas of human courage and divine mercy play out upon the waters, and I am humbled by the depth of such devotion.
