History
The great Suwa deity watches over the flow of Sasagawa River. Farmers and merchants, all who traveled these waters, have sought divine protection here. Through ages I have witnessed, prayers have ever protected the people from floods and hardship. The river's gentle flow, blessed by this shrine's eternal prayers, continues to nourish the land. That protection remains unbroken even in these modern times.
