History
Hitoana Sengen Jinja is a special shrine enshrined beside the mystical cave called "Hitoana" at the foot of Mount Fuji. Dedicated to Sengen-sama (Konohanasakuya-hime), it has served as a sacred site of Mount Fuji worship, visited by many ascetics and pilgrims throughout history. The Hitoana cave is a spiritual training ground of Kakugyo, the founder of the Fujikō (Mount Fuji faith), and is considered a sacred place where Mount Fuji's spiritual power converges. The mystical atmosphere of the lava cave and the majestic view of Mount Fuji provide a deeply moving experience for all who visit this special shrine.
