History

Byakko

I speak of Shounji, standing in Numazu, where 'sho' means good fortune and 'un' means the clouds that bridge heaven and earth. This temple brings the blessings descending from heaven to these lands. Through ages past, it has continuously brought peace and joy to pilgrims' hearts. Like clouds themselves, flexible and graceful, my endless blessings pour forth upon this sacred ground.
