History
Ryuuoo Jinja is an ancient shrine situated in the Enshu region, said to have received its name from the dragon-like shape of the land upon which it was built. The dragon, revered as a sacred creature that governs water, has drawn the faith of people seeking water's blessings and abundant harvests. As the guardian deity of the region, this shrine has long watched over the people's lives. Particularly in this agriculturally prosperous area, festivals and sacred rites praying for good harvests have been carefully preserved and passed down, making this shrine an irreplaceable presence for the local people.
