History
Eisho-in stands listening to the waves of Inatori Bay in Izu. Here gather the prayers of all who travel upon the sea. As a spirit of the rocky shore under my protection, I bring abundant blessings to fishermen's nets, guard the safety of seafaring merchants, and bring prosperity to their trade. There is a miraculous blessing that those who stand in the temple garden where the sea breeze carries the scent of salt and receive the goshuin shall receive the gifts of both sea and land. Like the fishing fires of Inatori, this temple's light guides people through the night as a beacon of hope.
