History

This Shirahata Shrine is a historic shrine that has long been enshrined in the land of Hirato. When I visited, the air was quiet and refreshing. This shrine is said to be related to Minamoto no Yoritomo, and is devoutly worshipped as a deity of military fortune, good luck, and warding off evil. The precincts are spacious and enveloped in silence, allowing for peaceful worship. Many people visit this shrine with their wishes in their hearts. I also spend some time in quiet contemplation, feeling the pure air. It is a historic shrine adorned with the legend of the white flag.
