History
Onigoe Amaizaki Jinja is a shrine located in the Onigoe district of Kitsunezanji, Ichinoseki. "Amaizaki" refers to Komagata Ōkami, known as the deity of horses, and this shrine has maintained deep connections with horses since ancient times. The place name "Onigoe" is interesting, and there may be legends of demons being defeated in this area long ago. Since the era when horses were essential for agriculture and transportation, people have worshipped here praying for the safety and health of horses. Even today, it is revered as a deity of traffic safety and cherished as a guardian deity of the local community. The quiet grounds nestled in rural farmland bring peace to all who visit.
