History
Dainichi-ji is located in Kuroya, Itano Town, and is the fourth pilgrimage site of the Shikoku Eighty-Eight Sacred Places. With Dainichi Nyorai as its principal image, this sacred place continues to illuminate all sentient beings as the fundamental Buddha of the universe. This temple, traditionally said to have been founded by Kobo Daishi, serves as an important pilgrimage site visited early on the pilgrimage route and has become a source of spiritual support for many pilgrims. Enveloped in the compassionate light of Dainichi Nyorai, this is a warm sacred place where the various wishes of people are fulfilled.
