This ancient shrine, enshrined at the summit of Hiromune Mountain, is renowned as one of the most distinguished sanctuaries of Harima Province. Already revered by the imperial court during the Heian period, it has been especially worshipped as a deity for warding off pestilence. Watching over Harima from the mountain's peak, this shrine has been deeply revered by countless military commanders and lords throughout history. Its expansive grounds, dotted with numerous auxiliary shrines, emanate the dignified atmosphere befitting a sacred mountain of Harima.
