Suwa Jinja

Suwa Jinja is located in Hamayama, Karatsu, and enshrines Takeminakata no Kami. A shrine of distinguished lineage invited from Suwa Taisha in Shinshu, it has long been revered as the protective deity of this region. Due to its coastal location, it has garnered devout faith as a deity of fishing and maritime safety. Suwa Jinja is also known as a deity of martial valor, granting strength to face hardship and prevail in contests.
