History
Shogan-ji stands at Ishorosaki in Minamiizu, where the cliffs and rough waves are expressions of my heart. In the harsh nature of this place, one comes to know human smallness while also sensing the vastness of life itself. This temple, which prays for the safety of seafarers, stands at the boundary between land and sea, receiving my watchful gaze. Those who receive the goshuin shall find that no matter what storms they encounter, the light of this temple remains in their heart, bringing courage to move forward. The white waves of Ishorosaki and the ancient roof tiles of Shogan-ji both bear the imprint of my teaching, forever guiding one toward true wisdom.
