History
Dainamu Jinja is an ancient shrine situated in Nakahara, Fukiage-cho, Hioki City, Kagoshima Prefecture. It enshrines Oinamuchi no Mikoto, who is also known as Okuninushi no Mikoto of Izumo Taisha. The divine virtue of Okuni-sama, known as the kami of good fortune and auspicious bonds, extends even to this land of Satsuma. Surrounded by the rich natural beauty of Fukiage, this shrine has long watched over the lives of local people.
