History
Kansho-in is rooted in Maruko, Suruga, and has long been known as a temple bestowing virtue and blessing. It has become a guiding light for those standing at life's turning points. The principal Buddha of the temple guides the lives of countless souls with its compassionate countenance. At this temple under my protection, the deepest wishes in the hearts of all visitors are heard and answered. To receive a single goshuin becomes itself a gateway to a new phase of one's life. The wild lilies that bloom in Maruko and all the flowers that bloom within this temple's grounds become symbols of life's joy, reflected in the hearts of all pilgrims.
