History
Kyoshinji in Kakogawa, Hyogo, is a temple built on the site associated with the Heian-period monk Kyoshin, known for his devoted nembutsu practice beyond the boundaries of convention. The temple bears the mountain name Nembutsuzan and serves as the 8th sacred site of the Banshu Yakushi Pilgrimage circuit. The temple grounds are designated as a cultural property by Kakogawa city and selected among the Seventy Famous Sites of Kakogawa.
