History
Taiyama-ji is located on Oyama mountain in Koyake, Kamiita Town, and is the third pilgrimage site of the Shikoku Eighty-Eight Sacred Places. True to its name, this sacred pilgrimage site embraced by a great mountain has gathered faith since ancient times. This temple, associated with Kobo Daishi, stands at the beginning region of the pilgrimage route and plays an important role in purifying the hearts of pilgrims and praying for their safe journey ahead. Within its grounds filled with the powerful energy of the mountain, visitors can renew their determination.
