Oomiwano Shrine, located in Fuchu, Kokufu, Tokushima City, is affectionately known to locals as "Ko-no-miya" (Kokufu Shrine). Situated at the former political center of Awa Province, the shrine carries the name "Oomiwano" — reflecting deep ties with the Yamato Court. Once revered as a shrine protecting the state at the heart of ancient Awa politics and culture, it is a historically significant shikinaisha. Today it continues to be worshipped as the tutelary deity of the local community.
