Tsukiyomino Miya is an auxiliary shrine of the Naiku (Inner Shrine) of Ise Jingu, where it enshrines Tsukiyomi no Mikoto. Tsukiyomi no Mikoto, the younger brother of Amaterasu Oomikami, is the deity who governs the night and has been deeply connected to people's lives since ancient times. The quiet grounds remain dimly lit even during the day, enveloped in a mystical atmosphere. It is said that visiting on nights when the moon is beautiful allows one to feel the protection of the moon deity more deeply. As a deity governing the passage of time, this shrine attracts many visitors at life's turning points and important decisions.
